Coffee time?
by Ex Nihilo inwhen you used to go out in service (or if you still do) what was the coffee time?
that's the time that you usually look at your watch and say "oh hey let's go for coffee then do a few more!

I have seen prayers read at district convention!
by oompa inyes, i like to gaze around during prayers, especially big ones.
twice now i have seen the chairman or concluding speaker finish the song, approach the speaker stand, say "let's approach god in prayer," and at the last second pull out a index card size of paper with writing on it.
he kind of cups his hand over as he lays in on top of the song book.

My Pioneer mother wants me (DFed) to fix her computer... HA!!!
by Hangin_on inwhen i call my mother she says she can't talk to me because i am dfed.. i asked her to help me and my pregnant wife move and she said "i don't think i can do that"... whos not allowing her to do it?.
she always calls me if her car or her computer breaks.. she called me today because her computer broke.
so.... i turned the tables on her.

(well part of it at least (am a bit shy still...) because i am not scared to be found out anymore.
mind you i've been df'ed for nearly a year now but still had hope 'friends' would remember we were like family and realize they couldn't possibly live the rest of their lives without talking to me again....ha!

Interesting announcement made at the Assembly

of course i didn't go (why go back after all these years?).

This goes back a year ago, my mom was trying to get me to go to the district convension b/c there was a MAJOR announcement being made. Of course I didn't go (why go back after all these years?). Anyway, she called me when it was over and I asked her what the announcement was. She said: The announcement is that we are in the Great Tribulation now...it has already started.
Instantly that old familiar scared feeling kicks in (good old scare tactics work every time!). I got over the panicked feeling in a hurry, but I am wondering: did anyone else hear about this?? That is the first and last time I heard about it so I am wondering if my mom was being dramatic and trying to get me to come back to "the truth".

Ever notice that one of the main things JW's will use in their arguements against non-jw's is about not being able to live forever? It's like that is the only reason they are in the "truth", not b/c they genuinely believe the message or love jehovah and the organization. It's because they are getting something for staying in the org.
the333, you may be waiting a loooonnng time for the "end" to come...just ask around, wasn't it supposed to come long before now??
Don't feel sorry for us, we don't need or want your pity. We are better off...trust.
